Hereby the Peruvian Federation of Swimming wants to let you know our strongest protest against the arbitrary decision to change within 3 weeks of starting the Pan American Games the qualifying marks. This fact has generated an extremely delicate problem for us and for all Swimming Federations of America.

We demand that the UANA and the organizing committee of the Pan American Games assume their responsibility, considering that it is you who have created this problem by changing the rules - situation that we have never seen before - but we are the ones who are facing the problem now for free.

Finally, we request your reconsideration of your decision and let us honor the commitment we have with our swimmers, who do not have to be affected by decisions like this.
